About Me

Step to Salvation

Question: What is salvation?
Answer: Salvation is pardon from the guilt and penalty of sin.

Question: Where does salvation come from?
Answer: Salvation is a gift from God. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Question: Who can receive salvation?
Answer: Through Jesus, salvation is made available to all mankind.

Question: What do I get from salvation?
Answer: The benefits of salvation are ongoing. They are deliverance, victory, prosperity, wholeness, healing, soundness, help, safety, welfare, defense, rescue, preservation, freedom, liberty, and pardon. God has provided everything that we need for life and godliness. When we leave this earth, He has also provided us with an eternal home in heaven with Him.

Question: How does a person get saved?
Answer: The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." You believe with your heart and confess with your mouth.

Question: Can I get saved through any other way?
Answer: No. Jesus is the only way. He said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Question: I'm not a bad person, do I still need salvation?
Answer: Yes. In the beginning, Adam's sin caused man's separation from God, and every person born after Adam is born with a sin nature. Salvation, through Jesus, is man's only way to have that sin nature taken away.

Question: Can I get saved even if I've done really bad things?
Answer: Yes. It does not matter who you are or what you have done. Salvation is a right to all who receive it. "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him [Jesus] might be saved (John 3:17)."

Question: I was baptized when I was little, does that mean that I am saved?
Answer: No. The only way a person can be saved is to confess Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9-10). Baptism cannot save a person. Baptism is the outward sign of the redemptive work that Jesus did for you on the inside (in your spirit).

Question: Once I am saved, what do I do?
Answer: First, find a good Bible-believing and teaching church that you can attend regularly. Second, renew your mind in the Word of God; it's vital to your growth as a Christian. Romans 12:2 puts it this way, "...be not conformed to the ways of this world, but be ye transformed [changed] by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." Third, make a quality decision that you're going to be and have all that God has said about you in His written Word (the Holy Bible).
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. Your Word says, "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:21)." I am calling on You. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life. According to Romans 10:9-10, "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I am now reborn! I am a Christian - a child of Almighty God! I am saved! You also said in Your Word, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him (Luke 11:13)." I'm also asking You to fill me with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, rise up within me as I praise God. I fully expect to speak with other tongues as You give me the utterance (Acts 2:4).

That's it! You've made a great decision. Welcome to the family of God! For more information on what has happened to you and what your next steps should be, please contact
